Revision Work

These past few months I’ve been doing a lot of revision work. Course revisions are never as interesting as building a course from scratch so I don’t have much to report. But there is an upside, because the revision projects are short, I’ve been able to work on quite a few and use the latest versions of Articulate, Lectora, and Captivate. I’m now up-to-date with all three major authoring tools: Articulate 09, Lectora x, and Captivate 5, woo hoo!

A New Chapter

This year is going to be exciting. I’m starting a new chapter in my professional life and going solo. I’m leaving the corporate world and going to be an independent contractor. As an independent, I feel that I can work on a larger variety of projects and gain experience in a broader set of authoring tools. I’ll also get to work virtually from my home office. This is something I’ve always wanted to do and when the opportunity to do so presented itself this year, I knew I had to do it.
