Folder Tabs

August 17, 2008 Leave a comment

Description: Image of folders with tabs that students can click on. It’s a fun visual that is interactive and saves space.

When to Use: When information is optional. Information that is important to the course should always be shown in the body of the page. Not all students interact with WBTs. Lists of examples for each category works well in this style.

Comic Strips

Tools Used: Fireworks 8

When to Use: Softskills, decision making

Comic strips are a fun way to add some variety into ILT or WBTs. If you don’t have a dedicated graphics team, a good way is to use stock photography. Use ones that are ‘photo objects’, these will not have any background colors or images to deal with. Try PowerPoint for a ready-made dialogue bubble.
