Description: Colored boxes or icons that appear regularly throughout a lesson or course. In the example below, the responsibilities of the Systems Engineer Role appears periodically throughout the discussion of a technical process.
When to Use: This is very useful on paper or on screen when there are repeating ‘types/categories’ of information on multiple pages. Keep the boxes and icons simple so that they can be easily recognized. Try to limit the use to 2-3 different types of information. Too many and the student will start to confuse one with another.
